About 60 miles south of Puerto Vallarta and just outside the town of Tomatlán, lies Rancho de las Olas. Surrounded on three sides by incredibly fertile farmland with cattle grazing gently rolling hills, two lakes on the ranch abound with fish and…crocodiles! Virtually every bird native to the Republic of México has found a home at Rancho de las Olas. Wildflowers thrive next to huge cacti and trees dripping with Spanish moss shade both sides of the road off the main highway.

At Rancho de las Olas we invite you to experience the magnificence of our secluded environment. The adventure begins from the moment you set foot in our luxurious vehicle for the 50-minute drive south of Puerto Vallarta.

Waves at Rancho de las Olas are nothing but awesome! Surfers from around the world love our “La Gloria” break. If surfing is not an option you can walk for miles on our beaches, around our two lakes, through our hiking trails laden with Spanish moss or simply sit and listen to the myriad sounds of Mother Nature, breathe the fresh air and relax.

Close to every species of birds identified in the Republic of México has been spotted at Rancho de las Olas. The lakes teem with fish; our turtle camp is sanctuary and nursery for several species of sea turtles. Overhead the trees provide shade, wild flowers bloom in profusion and the sun shines without fail.

Horseback riding, hiking, estuary tour by boat and mountain bike tours are just some of the activities you will enjoy with us.
