Roberto Aranda Castillo is old native of Oaxaca, and a graduate with honors from Regional Southeast University. He helped found the Oaxacan committee of ICOMOS (a branch of UNESCO that studies and protects the architectural/monumental patrimony), and was its second president. He acted as master professor in the School of Architecture, and has held various state and municipal governmental posts. Most recently he has occupied the position of Director General of the Historic Center of Oaxaca City. |

Aranda's main works of restoration and remodeling are located in the historic center of Oaxaca and include: "La Casa de Don Miguel" on 5 de Mayo Street; the building that now houses the franchise "Milenio AB," also located on 5 de Mayo Street; the restaurant "Catedral" on Garcia Vigil Street; the building on Hidalgo Avenue that houses "Suites del Centro;" and more recently the Hotel Azucenas in the traditional neighborhood of Penasco. |

Aranda also dedicates himself to the restoration and adaptation of diverse commercial sites and offices. Among these are the "Joyeria González," "Aretha Boutique," "Panificadora Dan-Tu," Café Cereto, and most recently, "Estética Armando's" in the north of the city. |
