Funding and Donations

We need your help in the form of volunteer work and/or donations. Unfortunately, ASUPMATOMA does not have the funds required to purchase the proper equipment needed to create maximum efficiency in our fight to save the sea turtles. That is why it is so important to us to receive support and help from individuals and organizations interested in the protection of the environment in general.

Funding for ASUPMATOMA is achieved only through support by people like you. The association has instigated an Adopt a Turtle program, allowing the public to symbolically adopt a baby turtle for $25.00 U.S. and receive a handsome certificate with the name of the recipient and the name of his of her turtle on it. We also have ASUPMATOMA T-shirts and bumper stickers for sale. For more information about ASUPMATOMA events and/or to become a member, please fill out the following form.

Remember all donations are tax-deductible in the United States and are a tremendous help in the fight to save the endangered marine turtle! Donations of new or used A.T.V. motorcycles & parts, computers & equipment, camping gear and office supplies or equipment are also much appreciated.

During the nesting season, ASUPMATOMA has hosted overnight camp outs, training sessions and tours of the nursery facilities to the general public. The association also features eco-tourism programs. Participants will gain hands-on expertise of marine turtle biology, will assist in hatchling releases and all other aspects of nursery mechanics.

For the protection of our hatcheries, we need to keep vehicles off the beaches. It will also remind us that the beaches belong to everyone and should be kept beautiful (eco-tourism).
