In the late 1980's James and Lorena Rudolph, a young couple from San Diego, decided to do something a little bit more adventurous than the weekend ride to Nevada or the annual trip to Sturgis. At the time, James had felt a little out of place on his BMW while the rest of the riders were on Harleys. Their decision was simple, Mexico's border was only a few miles south, why not ride the roads of our southern neighbor. Having been born and raised in Mexico Lorena's Spanish soon aided them in discovering small towns and friendly people on their excursions. By the mid 1990's James had learned Spanish and Lorena decided it was time to start riding herself.

Since then, the Rudolph's have made countless trips into Mexico and Baja California on their motorcycles. With the mild Southern California weather riding motorcycle on weekends became a sport. Friends started asking them about their trips to Mexico and the annual summer pilgrimage to Mazatlan. With those frequent questions an idea sprung to life. There seemed to be a need for an all inclusive guided motorcycle tour,where riding your motorcycle down country roads and enjoying the scenery was all one had to think about. On a small budget and corporate sponsorships Motomextours was started.

What began as a small group of local riders having fun on the weekends once a month, has now developed into a unique tour that motorcycle enthusiast from all over the country have gone on, thanks to the Internet. James and Lorena look forward to meeting and riding with like minded people searching for a new adventure that each tour brings, and now Lorena sits atop her V-Rod and James rides beside her on his Softail Classic.
