MALIOLLIN, a natural,
indigenous healing center is located near downtown Oaxaca, Mexico, and for special ceremonies and retreats,
in the village of San Jose del Pacifico, located in the mountains outside of Oaxaca City. Maliollin is a
unique concept in healing, even for Oaxaca, where indigenous healers or curanderos, are common. Maliollin´s
clinic treats every type of ailment you can imagine, and maybe some you can´t. But instead of having to

Don Manuel and Doņa Guadalupe, Zapotec curanderos for 34 years, will welcome you to Maliollin and help you on
your healing journey. Doņa Guadalupe will diagnose you by asking her healing guides to come in and find out what
is happening with you. If you come with a diagnosis already, she will set up a healing schedule for you, depending
on your individual needs. No problem is too big or too small for the natural Zapotec healing methods, such as
cleansings by rubbing an egg and various plants (pepper tree, basil, etc.) over your body and asking for the spirits
to aid you in your healing.
The second aspect of Maliollin is the retreat in the mountains outside of Oaxaca in San Jose del Pacifico. World-famous
for the indigenous ¨magic¨ mushrooms that grow there, and only in a few places in Oaxaca, San Jose is the birthplace
of Don Manuel and he and Doņa Guadalupe are well-versed in the mushroom ceremonies, using them for healing and
enlightenment, not for recreation. Authentic Zapotec ceremonies, such as weddings and baptisms, are held in this
tiny, high altitude village, as well as retreats for groups or individuals who wish to partake in the important
ritual that is the indigenous Zapotec sweatlodge.
