Las Hadas - which means "the Fairies" - is an amazing new place on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca in Mexico.
A fun place to stay with the entire family, with friends, a lover or for singles. We offer suites with one or
two bedrooms and living room, private bath and air conditioning at very reasonable prices.
Las Hadas Resort is just less than 5 minutes from the most beautiful beach - it's still one of those few parts in the
world where the beach is pretty much deserted - you can walk and walk without meeting any people. There's lush
vegetation in the back and this area is so rich with nature, turtles and fish.
Our thatched restaurant with bar offers amazing local food mixed with healthy and light Mediterranean specialties -
all family style cooking. On Sundays we have an all-you-can-eat brunch with 65 regional and international dishes
to choose from. Las Hadas also offers its guests free wireless internet. We have a beautiful swimming pool, relax
cabana with hammocks, many games like volleyball, badminton, croquet, petanque, horse shoes and in mid-2008
we'll add a jaccuzzi, sauna, a gym, massage and a tennis court.
Here at Las Hadas Resort we offer one of a kind excursions. One such trip is to the
nearby waterfalls. We leave Las Hadas early after a light and healthy breakfast and take a ride
in the pick-up to San Martin, a small village in the mountains, where a guide
with a donkey will be waiting for us and will carry our backpacks and food for lunch. We will walk past meadows
with cows and donkeys until we get into the jungle with lush vegetation. After approximately 70 minutes we reach
the waterfall - with a big natural pool around it and option to swim, some shade to relax and we we'll
spend the full day there. We will prepare a nice, healthy lunch for you with lots of fruit,
local cheese, local sausage, home-baked bread, tortillas and much more and we will enjoy lunch on the site. This
particular tour is for those who are in good physical condition because it is moderate to difficult. But we offer
other tours, just as wonderful, for all levels.
We at Las Hadas are proud to say that we have a socially responsible attitude toward the Puerto Escondido area. We hire
only local people and train them. We shop as much as possible in the next village and we invite locals to share
our tourist life; we believe this enhances the lives of both the tourists and the locals. We are working on a
new project on top of Las Hadas' hill with renewable energy and 5% of the profit will support local
social work.
