If you have a car, Tepoztlán provides a great starting point for traveling this region of Mexico. Within a 90 minute radius of Tepoztlán there are many interesting sites, among them the colonial city of Taxco, the Cacahuamilpa Caverns, and Xochicalco pyramids. You will have the opportunity to enjoy some natural spring waters like Las Estacas. There are also several recently restored colonial convents and the Tepozteco pyramid, which is only accessible through a one-hour mountain trail walk.
