The Hotel Casa Lucia is a small deluxe boutique hotel located in the
historical center of Merida. The colonial style Hotel has it's setting in two
different neighboring homes built
towards the end of the 19th century. Located in the Santa Lucia
neighborhood, the Hotel takes it's
name from the nearby church of same name. The Hotel building, which was
remodeled recently,
preserves all its historical architectural elements, while at the same
time allowing for the necessary
modern guest comforts.

Because of the Hotel's excellent location, guests have easy access to
the historical center of Merida.
Considered one of most traditional cities in Mexico, Merida continues to
be a very important cultural
and culinary center. Hotel Casa Lucia is only three blocks from several
important tourist attractions
of note: the Plaza Grande, the Cathedral, and the Museum of
Comtemporary Art. The surrounding area is also
a commerical center for traditional antiques. Nearby is Santa Lucia
Park, where the well known Yucatecan
musical Serenades are carried out every Thursday.
The rooms of this colonial style Hotel have floors of marble, high
ceilings, and hand painted wall decorations.
The bathrooms are ample and luxurious, covered with quarried Guatemalan
marble, equipped with tubs, water
pressure showers and taps made of English porcelain. The decoration of
Casa Lucia combines several epochs.
Special attention was made in preserving the French "Art-Deco" style of
the building; wherefore the stained-glass
"Tiffany" windows, the handmade blacksmith art works, lamps, rugs, oil
paintings and furniture characteristic for
that period. Here guests can enjoy incomparable comfort and luxury in a
colonial style house that perfectly
combines tradition and modernity.
Hotel Casa Lucia boasts its own restaurant, "Café Lucía", which offers
guests both international and
typical local dishes. A fine example being the well-know "lime soup".
In the hotel you will also find the
fashion-line store "Fabrizio", specializing in fashion and high quality
linen garments, including the traditional
yucatecan linen "Guayabera" shirt.
The Hotel is graced on the outside with outstanding gardens, abundant
rose trees, bugambilias and two splendid
stone fountains, covered with mosaics of hand painted Talavera tile.
Casa Lucia offers tranquility in the heart of the ancient and colonial
