The Flycatcher Inn guesthouse has three rooms and the Flycatcher Suite. The separate Chel House is also for rent. Each accommodation is different and charming in its own way, but all of them have private terraces and gardens. All of our rooms feature good mattresses, pillows and cotton linens, with bedspreads of linen or other natural fibers. Three of the rooms have optional air conditioning. And all our rooms are comfortable, spacious and well situated for enjoying the peace, quiet and harmony of the flora and fauna surrounding them.

Rates range from $400 to 600 pesos per night. Breakfast is served daily for our guests, and consists of fresh fruit and fresh-squeezed juices, fresh coffee from Chiapas or Veracruz, homemade breads or other bakery items, and sometimes eggs with fresh-picked herbs from the garden.

A typical day at the Flycatcher Inn will probably include a visit to nearby Uxmal, one of the most famous collections of Mayan ruins in the area, and arguably the most beautiful. From here, our guests also visit Yucatan haciendas such as Hacienda Tabi, the Loltun Caves, the three exquisite Puuc ruin sites and colonial towns like Oxkutzcab and Mani. Some of our guests like it here so much that they end up spending an extra day just to enjoy the surroundings. We have a nature trail that winds through 20 acres of woods behind the Inn, where a 40-minute walk will take you by three chultuns (ancient Mayan water storage cisterns), original rock walls, and the remains of old carved stones that we have found along the way. The Flycatcher Inn is located just at the edge of a small peaceful, Mayan village, with all its various customs and traditions. Our guests are welcomed by the townspeople to observe these events when they occur. Here you can see the traditional Mayan religious and village ceremonies and celebrations, and have your questions answered in English, Spanish, or Mayan!

Who stays at the Flycatcher Inn? We find our guests come from all over the world. They are adventurous explorers, curious travelers and some of the most wonderful people we have ever met. Many of our guests are well-traveled and speak multiple languages. Breakfast conversations are always interesting!

A day and night spent at the Flycatcher Inn is a perfect time to relax, take leisurely walks, watch the birds, the stars and the fireflies. Come explore the Yucatecan countryside and enjoy the peace and quiet...
