Our Spanish immersion programs have classes and courses which focus on a base of structured study and learning integrated with experience in various settings where the natural use of conversational Spanish is required. This is not typical classroom learning. Our classrooms are set in a beautiful tropical garden setting with an international multicultural student base. We offer small group, private instruction or a blend of both. The context of all of our programs are set in the context of Mexican and Latin culture. Students learn concepts of cultural competency so that the language brings cultural competence to the work settings that you use your Spanish in. Spanish without the emphasis on culture and concepts of cultural competence can lead to errors in usage and cultural misunderstandings.

What is Total Spanish Immersion?

We offer flexible, individualized programs. There is a base of structured learning and several opportunities for language integration through experience. These include: Lectures, Bilingual Interchange, Salsa and Typical Mexican Dance Classes, Mexican Cooking Classes, Latino Video Events, Cultural Events on Campus and in the Community, Cultural Excursions Saturdays and Sundays, and Family Homestays. We offer weekend, one and two week long travel adventures to locations throughout Mexico (Puebla, Puerta Vallarta, Acapulco, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Oaxaca, Michoacan, Chiapas, the Yucatán and Riviera Maya, and more).

CUERNAVACA SPANISH IMMERSION SCHOOL PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

A seasoned/experienced school founded in 1977 by Arturo Ballinas.

Classes, M-F, 9am-2pm. Learning Integration and Cultural Program, 6-8 pm M-F, included in tuition (optional). Weekend Excursions (Saturday included) and longer travel-study excursions. Over 35 hours of basic and optional language immersion activities per week from $440US inclusive.

Small group (five or less) and private classes. We can specially design a mix of group and individual classes.
