Restaurant El Jaguar...a Taste of the South
Welcome to the Guerrero Cultural and Gastronomic Center, named for the Jaguar, which from time
immemorial has had enormous symbolic importance in this region. Ancient cave and rock paintings
show the jaguar and man united as a symbol of power and goverance, of bravery and strength, commonly
called sorcerer in Náhuatl.
The Guerrero Cultural and Gastronomic Center El Jaguar in Acapulco invites you to visit our confortable and spacious
restaurant, decorated in the regional artesan style for which Guerrero is noted. You will admire
the beautiful local handcrafted furniture, table cloths and murals of Olinalá.
The restaurant offers a family setting in which guests can enjoy the regional cuisine, dance presentations
and music popular in the State of Guerrero. There is also a section in which local handicrafts are displayed.
Our daily specials include the traditional Thursday Pozole, and the Tixla Elopozole which
includes grains of corn and our Sunday lunches with an extensive selection of dishes from all
over the State.
