Troncones is a village that lies 20 minutes north of Ixtapa and 40 minutes from the Ixtapa / Zihuatanejo airport. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a tiny village, small restaurants, and a beach filled with private homes and bungalows. Open vistas give the area a "ranch-like" quality. The large palms, thundering surf, wonderful warm water swimming beach, and tropical vistas make for a once-in-a-lifetime vacation!

Casa Colorida is a private compound consisting of two homes located on three acres of beach front. The grounds are enclosed with gated privacy walls on the beach front, south side, and rear entrances. Hand tiled side walks, garden trellises, foot baths, palms, banana trees, flowering trees and planters enhance the garden area. Steps are covered with local black beach pebbles. Extensive tile surfaces are used on interior and exterior porches, walls, and sinks. Daily, except Sunday, a maid and gardener are provided.

The architectural details of each of these splendid residences are impressive: expansive white and black rock terraces, arches and a fireplace; majestic ceilings supported by thick, hand-hewn trunks of local wood; comfortable and colorfully-decorated bedrooms and sitting rooms, each with it's own, individual style and charm; heavy, rustic, hand-carved doors and typical accents using the wonderful arts & crafts of Mexico...
