This lovely 17th Century building is located on Atlixco's (just outside of the city of Puebla, Mexico) oldest cobblestoned street, its entrance archway built in the 18th Century to welcome visitors to the city. Though the cobblestones have now been replaced with modern pavement, you can still enjoy the beauty of original quarry stone as you explore the hotel's patios and passageways.

Decorative plasterwork motifs on Hotel Antgua Alqueria de Carrion's exterior we added at the turn of the 19th Century, an era in which Mexico's architectural tendencies and tectures were much influenced by the French style. The Colonial home that is now the Antigua Alqueria de Carrion was constructed with flying buttresses; while most of these are now hidden by later construction, one is still visible in our swimming pool area.
