Zihuatanejo, Mexico’s premier vacation destination on the west coast and sometimes referred to as “La Costa Grande”, is just 320 miles south of Puerto Vallarta where the Canadian or American tourist can enjoy all of the typical warm climate activities of the Caribbean, Hawaii, and other Mexican resort communities at prices that are sure to please your budget and at a relaxed pace that is sure to reduce your blood pressure. It is relatively easy to get here via Continental, America West, Alaska, Mexicana, Aero Mexico and others. A 20 minute ride from the airport for about $20 US will deliver you within 50’ of our front door! Alánamar at La Casa Que Ve al Mar ( the house that sees the sea ) is located in the dead center of and on the hill just above Playa La Ropa, Zihuatanejo’s 1st choice beach which is easily accessible on foot in just under seven minutes. There you will find warm ocean waters, tropical breezes, gentle surf, and a collection of beach front restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Relax to the sounds of the surf while you are sipping your favorite tropical drink. You can easily spend the day sitting under your very own palapa watching pelicans and frigate birds hunting for food or just getting through one of your favorite books. Temperatures average between the high 80 degrees and low 70 degrees Fahrenheit year 'round. However, during the summer (rainy) months the humidity can cause you to become somewhat uncomfortable during the middle hours of the day. You will find a good deal of relief with our ceiling fans in all rooms as well as out on the terrace and the one and two ton mini-split a/c units in the bedrooms and in the living areas. These units are the modern--compressor being located elsewhere type--and are extraordinarily QUIET! But please, be sure all doors and windows are closed when a/c is activated. Electricity rates in Mexico are no bargain hence we can't afford to cool off the surrounding neighborhood. Our condo, positioned on the third floor but level in from the parking lot, features two bed rooms each with King size beds, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, a water purification system, dinning area with seating for eight, generous living room with cable served TV, DVD, stereo music system, and laundry. Bottled purified water is provided at no extra cost. Maid service is provided twice weekly at daily prices quoted but more frequent maid service can be arranged for a slight extra charge per day. Please note, however, maids do not do dishes! Tips for the maid typically run $1 USD per day per person; paid daily or upon departure, always leave tips on the pillow or bed. For your convenience, we have a BBQ out on the terrace. This Condominium, as well as all interior spaces, is wheel chair accessible-an unusual attribute for similar accommodations here in Zihuatanejo.
